Nicholas Bedy

I am a Florida native born and raised in the St. Petersburg area. My family and I relocated to Bradenton in 2013. Practicing law is my second career. Previously, I spent 18 years in law enforcement in Pinellas County. As a patrol officer, I investigated traffic crashes including many involving serious bodily injuries. Later in my career, I spent several years as a detective investigating Crimes Against Persons. My responsibilities included responding to scenes involving intentional deaths along with traumatic accidental deaths. I received specialized training in identifying causes of injury and death in this role.
I became a member of the Florida Bar in 2022 and spent three years practicing criminal law at both the trial and appellate level. I prosecuted hundreds of defendants for crimes including DUI Manslaughter, Reckless Driving Causing Death, Fleeing and Eluding Causing Death, and Driving with No Valid Driver’s License Causing Death. I went to trial several times on these types of cases to get justice for the victims and their families.
Now, as an attorney at Legler, Murphy, and Battaglia, LLP, I plan to use my training and experience to seek appropriate compensation for those injured at the fault of others.
